It was definitely a beautiful church, high and a little bit dark as every gotic church. It's just that because you have to pay the ticket I was expecting something more. The "tour" of the church, at least when you go self-guided (actually I don't know if there are some tours) is really short. There's a crypt which is one of the biggest I've ever seen, but not really full of interesting things.

The outside view was beautiful. I, especially, loved the sculpture of the homeless man on the bench. I personally feel that it hits you on the head with emotion. I loved looking at this from the outside.
The inside was lovely with its beautiful arches, stained glass, and mosaic tiles on the floor. The crypt was my husband's favorite part. It had ancient books, silver pieces from prior leaders, and tombs.
We didn't get to see many things as we were only briefly in Dublin, but I'm glad this was one of the places we went to.

I think the €7 entry fee is worth the visit. Lovely church inside. Lots to read and see. The crypt is especially interesting. Tom and Jerry the dead cat and mouse is super creepy bat amazing to see.
We explored this place for a good hour, discovering lots of interesting facts about the place. Well worth the visit.

We did the combined discounted Dublinia + Christ Church (15 Euro rather than 16.50 for both). Start with Dublinia and if you're able to the tower, then you cross the archway over into Christ Church Cathedral, which is lovely. The real adventure is to do the crypt, which was very interesting. Had a great time and it got us out of the rain :) They are doing some work on the grounds or something so the outside lower regions of Christ Church had a wall of plywood around it so it's hard to take an iconic lovely shot of the whole building complex, but inside was fine. The details are fabulous. What a gorgeous pulpit! And the stained glass is gorgeous. Oh, and a cute little shop down in the crypt which is great for gifts.

Surprisingly good visit. I want sure what to expect of this place. But my wife and I were nearby and decided to check it out. Lovely cathedral full of Dublin history. And there's an underground area that is absolutely great! I liked this cathedral because it was an affordable so with a big payoff, and it didn't take all day. Not crowded. Well maintained. Loved it. Definitely worth a visit if you can.
